1. Schedule for Booster Shots
*All residents over the age of 12 are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
*Vaccination is not mandatory.
*Please refrain from coercing those around you to get vaccinated or discriminating against those who have not been vaccinated.
Fourth Booster (vaccine effective against the Omicron strain will be used)
The following individuals are eligible to receive a fourth dose as long as 3 months have passed since they received a third shot of the vaccine.
- People over age 60
- People between 18 and 60 years of age who have underlying medical conditions*
- Health workers and workers in senior homes (not mandatory)
Vaccination vouchers will automatically be mailed to eligible individuals over 60 years old.
People between 18 and 60 years of age that have preexisting medical conditions must contact the Ginowan City Health Consultation Centre at 098-898-5583 at the 3-month mark in order to get their vaccination vouchers issued with the exception of the following:
- People who requested a voucher for their 1st and 2nd dose in person at the Ginowan City Health Consultation Centre under the reason of having a preexisting medical condition
- People who booked an appointment for the 3rd shot through the V-CHAT system and who selected YES under the "preexisting medical condition" field
*Those who have yet to receive their vaccination voucher after three months from their third shot should contact the Ginowan City Health Consultation Centre for a reissuance.
Information is not shared between cities and towns. If you received your second shot in another municipality but would like to get your booster shot in Ginowan City, you must apply to receive a vaccination voucher. You will need to provide a proof of vaccination from your previous municipality.
Third Booster (vaccine effective against the Omicron strain will be used)
<NOTE> The booster vaccine (third dose) used for children ages 12-17 will be Pfizer-BioNTech.
Residents over 12 years old are eligible to receive a third dose of the vaccine as soon as 3 months have passed since their second shot.
The vaccination voucher will be mailed to all eligible residents at the 3-month mark.
If you and your family members received your second shots on different dates, your vaccination vouchers for the booster will arrive individually.
Information is not shared between cities and towns. If you received your second shot in another municipality but would like to get your booster shot in Ginowan City, you must apply to receive a vaccination voucher. You will need to provide a proof of vaccination from your previous municipality.

You must bring both the vaccination voucher and the pre-vaccination questionnaire to your appointment. After you receive your shot, the white sheet will be returned to you as a proof of vaccination. Please keep this document safe.
You must complete the purple pre-vaccination questionnaire prior to your appointment. If you have underlying health conditions, please consult with your primary physician before getting vaccinated.

If you recently moved to Ginowan City...
If you only recently moved to Ginowan City and would like to get vaccinated, you must contact the Ginowan Health Consultation Centre in order to receive a vaccination voucher.
You cannot use the vaccination voucher you received from your previous municipality.

Getting vaccinated outside of the municipality where you are registered
You must receive your vaccine in the municipality in which you are registered. However, you may be allowed to receive your vaccine in another city if you fulfill certain requirements. If you move out of Ginowan City, please use the vaccination voucher issued to you by your new municipality.
<The following individuals must notify the city in which they wish to receive the vaccine in advance >
- employees posted away from their families
- students residing outside of their permanent residence, etc.
<The following individuals do not need to notify the city of their choice ahead of time>
- hospitalized individuals or those living in a facilty
- those with preexisiting medical conditions who are receiving the vaccine from their primary doctor
- those receiving the vaccine in national or prefectural vaccination centres
- those receiving workplace vaccination, etc.
Even if you don't fulfill any of the conditions above, you may still be able to receive your vaccine outside of Ginowan City. Please confirm with the municipality in which you wish to receive the vaccine, or visit the CoronaVaccineNavi for more information.
When booking, you wil need to provide your vaccination voucher number and date of birth.
